There is public beach access with free parking along Perdido Beach Blvd. if you want to mingle with others or for a change of scenery.

Built in 1964, The Flora-Bama, is located on Perdido Key,  Florida, adjacent the Alabama/Florida state line, is a world famous bar, oyster bar, beach bar, and Gulf Coast cultural landmark. The Flora-Bama is located on the Florida-Alabama border. The Flora-Bama property truly does lie in both Alabama and Florida with the bar sitting right on the line. The Flora-Bama Yacht club is across the street. You can visit by boat too.

Gulf State Park

Gulf State Park’s two miles of beaches greet you with plenty of white sun-kissed sand, surging surf, seagulls and sea shells, but there is more than sand and surf to sink your toes into. Back Country Trail

Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail, Orange Beach, AL 36561

Waterville USA

Waterville USA, or simply known as Waterville, is a 20-acre water and amusement park located a quarter-mile from the Gulf of Mexico in the city of Gulf Shores, Alabama, on Gulf Shores Parkway.

Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo

The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo opened in June 1989 as Zooland Animal Park. The zoo was founded as a private enterprise by Joey Ward of Gulf Shores. In 1991, the Ward family created the Zoo Foundation, Inc., a non-profit corporation, and donated the 17 acres of prime real estate that makes up the zoo today. Three years later, the Ward family and the Erie Meyer Foundation graciously donated an additional 13 acres, which are still undeveloped.

Fort Morgan

110 State Highway 180, Gulf Shores, AL 36542

Fort Morgan has been standing sentry at the mouth of Mobile bay for 180 years. Built after the war of 1812, the fort was designed to protect the shipping channels of Mobile Bay and the port of Mobile. It was 30 years before the fort had to defend the mouth of the bay. Open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., CST, except for the award winning “Tuesday Twilight Tours” in June and July, when visitors can learn about the life at the Fort with — rifle demonstrations, the responsibilities of the Laundress, and cannon firing!

National Museum of Naval Aviation

The National Museum of Naval Aviation is one of the largest and most beautiful air and space museums in the world. Share in the excitement of Naval Aviation’s rich history. The Blue Angels fly from NAS Pensacola. See 150 beautifully restored aircraft representing Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard Aviation. These historic and one-of-a-kind aircraft are displayed both inside the Museum’s nearly 300,000 square feet of exhibit space and outside on the Museum’s 37-acre grounds.
