Arnold Palmer decided to create his two golf courses just north of Gulf Shores, along Cotton Creek’s whispering trees and babbling water. Cypress Bend boasts a 4 1/2 star rating from Golf Digest, and the 18 hole course has wide fairways and undulating greens. Cotton Creek has 4 stars from Golf Digest. The 18 hole course is spread across 7,000 yards. The course challenges rather than intimidates, and it is a delight for any golfer.

Refuge Golf Club is Gulf State Park’s own golf course. The 18-hole course weaves through Gulf State Park, and it benefits from the natural beauty in the wildlife refuge.
